at Hanes Mall- Lower Level Atrium Front Entrance of Macy’s Winston-Salem
This Photographic Wear Red for Women Event, sponsored by Red H.E.A.R.R.T (Help Educate And Reduce Risk Today) will be held from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm to educate women about the risks of heart disease and to encourage them to take charge of their health. There will be four Zumba Flash Mobs designed to depict how easy it is to “Get Moving” & have fun while doing it!
The Flash Mobs will begin at 4:30 pm, 4:45pm, 5:10 pm and 5:30 pm. Along with opportunities to get Heart Health Information, play Healthy Quiz games, win gift certificates to local stores and restaurants.
Walk up to the standing Red Dress, throw on a red Boaz and take a photo.
Body Mass Index computation & Blood Pressure Checks will be sponsored by The Winston Salem State University’s Nursing Program located right inside of Macy’s entrance.
All that join the cause and wear red are invited to participate in the city wide Go Red for Women photo. The picture will be taken promptly at 5:45 pm. Cost: FREE & Open to public Need more information?

2/12/2012 - 3:00 PM, at Delta Arts Center 2611 New Walkertown Road, Winston-Salem `Loved Through The Years: Three Centuries of Black Dolls` Exhibit: February 12th – March 31st. Opening Reception: 3pm – 5pm Gallery talks by doll maker, Wendy Barber, and collectors Joyce Stamps and Carolyn Allen, on this exhibit showcasing black dolls from the 19th, 20th, & 21st centuries. “Loved Through The Years: Three Centuries of Black Dolls” chronicles early handmade dolls beginning in the 1800’s and follows their development through 20th Century. Along with cloth, dolls were created using new materials (rubber, plastic and resin) and made on assembly lines. In addition, the work of a modern doll maker focusing her talents on reproducing early doll designs and their costumes is included. Cost: FREE & Open to public Need more information?
